Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5), also own MacBook with 10.4
After upgrading to Leopard, my pause/play button does not work properly in iTunes. I have iTunes set to be a floating window when it is minimized so that I can pause, play and skip from other applications (the 'Keep MiniPlayer on top of all other windows' preference). Now with Leopard, I have to actually be IN iTunes for the button to work. If I try while in others, the button merely glitches and momentarily skips/pauses the song. I have tried restarting the machine, and simply quitting iTunes and reopening it with no luck.

Mac Pause Button Not Working Spotify Playlists

Spotify Pauses Automatically After Song
Spotify v1.0.90.268.ga8a0ceb4. Play/pause/skip track buttons on keyboard no longer working. Tried re-starting machine already. Tried re-starting app. Tried plugging/unplugging keyboard. Media keys function with other apps (Keynote, iTunes, etc). Aforementioned apps not open while using Spotify. Suddenly, buttons for controlling iTunes (they are located on F7, F8 and F9 buttons) stopped working. Meanwhile, other buttons (volume, brightness, launchpad, etc.) still work. The keys work in other applications but not with iTunes. Where should I look to fix this? Notice, the issue happened before updating to OS X Yosemite. A related question to this concerns the use of the STEP command. Link spotify to alexa app. This still brings up a dialog box with a variety of options. However the pause button seems to have ceased to have a function because there seems to be no way of restarting the macro (In EXcel 2004 this was done by means of a Macro tool bar which had a restart button on it)? Question: Q: Play/Pause, Rewind, Fast forward buttons not working on keyboards The multimedia buttons on my MacBook Pro have stopped working. This is the case on both my built in keyboard and my external Apple aluminium keyboard. Hold down the play/pause button and gently dab and squeeze a little of the rubbing alcohol in the cracks of the play/pause button section. Rotate your fingers along the scroll wheel to move the alcohol around. (Note: if it does not work, try again.
